The Britt Institute is Britt's educational arm. Since 1985, it has been providing quality music education programs, and over the years it has grown to provide programs for people of all ages and skill levels. With pre-concert lectures, summer music camps, music programs in local schools, and a summer internship program, our goal is to make music a joyous, meaningful part of life for our participants.
Britt Festivals has had a school-business partnership with Jacksonville Elementary School for 20 years. The partnership involves Britt actively collaborating with the school, providing arts opportunities and stage support for the school’s annual musical, which is performed at the Britt Pavilion in Jacksonville.
Major funding of Britt education programs was provided in 2009 by the generous support of the James F. & Marian L. Miller Foundation, Pacific Power Foundation, Qwest Foundation and the Oregon Arts commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
