Either I ‘m confused or I’m not reading the rules right. Is Line sitting for others ok or not? Is overnight line sitting ok? I question this since I see people advertising to line sit? Also, what time does the gate officially open? I thought it was 5:45PM but it seems that upon enter the festival area that blankets, tarps, etc. have been spread out to hold spots for other people who come later. Why allow this to occur if you don’t allow it in your lines?

Hi Rick, You can certainly have someone line-sit for you. Our policy is that each person waiting in line must have a ticket in hand, and not hold a space for a large group. The intent of that is to avoid one person waiting in line, and then claiming a huge space and several blankets on the lawn. So, basically, you can hire someone to hold a space in line for you, and when you enter the gate you can go in and put your blanket down. Also, anyone linesitting overnight must have a permit issued by the City of Jacksonville. This is a city ordinance enforced by Jacksonville.
The blue tarps you see are reserved lawn blankets that we offer as a member benefit. You can learn more about that at http://www.brittfest.org/becomeamember
