Regarded as one of today's premier family attractions, Magic Circle Mime Company is the creative partnership of Maggie Petersen and Douglas MacIntyre. Their highly acclaimed performances unite the concert orchestra with visual theater and are consistently praised for imaginative, engaging, educational and innovative content.
Petersen and MacIntyre have backgrounds in theatre and instrumental music and utilize that training to create highly regarded programs such as "The Orchestra from Planet X," which they will perform with the Britt Orchestra on Saturday, August 16. In this program, the company's newest, two aliens descend upon the concert hall with their own ideas and inventions for influencing "Earth Music." The result is a concert that brings important musical concepts to life in a sci-fi thriller with an outstanding program of American composers and New World music.
The Magic Circle Mime Company performs with virtually every major orchestra in North America and orchestras around the globe. They have a growing reputation in the Far East, and have performed with festivals and major orchestras in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
