Auditions are by recording through a blind audition process. Your inquiry will be acknowledged.
Must be postmarked by 4-15-08.
RECORD IN THE FOLLOWING ORDER:
I. Solo Repertoire:
•One movement, (exposition only) of any standard cello concerto
•One movement from a Bach Cello Suite (omit repeats)
II. Solos from Orchestral Repertoire:
•Rossini, William Tell Overture, beginning to Allegro (bars of rest may be skipped)
•Haydn, Symphony No. 31, 4th movement: Variation 2 (no repeats)
•Brahms, Piano Concerto No. 2, 3rd movement: ms. 1 to downbeat of ms. 9
III. Orchestral Excerpts:
•Beethoven, Symphony No. 5, 2nd movement: ms. 1 thru 10; ms. 49 thru 59; ms. 98 thru 106, 3rd movement: beginning of Trio thru ms. 213 (no repeat)
•Mozart, Symphony No. 35, 1st movement: ms. 13 thru 48, 4th movement: ms. 134 thru 181
•Debussy, La Mer, 1st movement: 2 measures before rehearsal 9 thru 6 measures after 9 (play top line)
•Strauss, Don Juan, ms. 1 thru 8; letter A to C
